Animation Challenge – A Case Study
We’re lucky enough to work with clients from a diverse range of industries here at A4 Plus, on an even wider range of projects. We have to confess our favourite types of jobs are those where we get to be involved from the concept stage right through to producing the physical product. However, we’re also here to jump in at any stage and lend a helping hand (especially if you find yourself up against a tight deadline!).
This was the case when Samson Materials Handling got in touch, asking us to help them produce an animation.
Samson, part of the internationally renowned AUMUND Group, have been providing a range of specialist engineering solutions to the bulk materials handling industry for nearly 50 years. They design and manufacture mobile equipment that can move an incredibly wide range of materials.
The deadline and budget were tight; however our creative animation team are always up for a challenge!
The Animation Challenge
To generate a simple, short animation that Samson could use to demonstrate the steps for a proposed ship-loader system (did we mention we had to do it to a tight deadline and budget?).
The Solution That Kept Us on Time and In Budget
Our animation team came up with a non-photorealistic animation that focused on the actual equipment, rather than the environment and surroundings, to help beat the deadline. We didn’t include text or sound which meant we could bring it in on budget, while still meeting the brief and providing the customer with everything they needed.
