Supply Chain Manager
Location: Cambridgeshire
Salary indication: £30,000 to £50,000
Purpose of the Job
The Supply Chain Manager (SCM) ensures that all product production requirements are planned and managed, and all components and services at the best possible price to ensure programmed delivery dates are achieved. The supply chain team is a centralized function that supports the requirements of Engineered Solutions, Standard Products, Spares and Service.
Necessary skills and qualifications
- Previous production/procurement management experience for high value capital equipment
- Good relevant engineering knowledge, with the ability to discuss all technical aspects of the project
- Excellent ability to communicate in English, technical, commercial and contractual matters
- Must be able to discuss, negotiate and resolve problems
- Highly organized, with the ability to plan, forecast and develop alternative solutions to problems
- Ability to lead and motivate a team
- Can interpret and present financial details and reports
- Willing to travel overseas and work in all types of industrial plant, must have UK driving license
- Keen to share knowledge, to learn and develop new skills
- Good general computer skills, particularly, Excel, MS Project
- Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team
Useful but not essential
- Good production/purchasing degree
