We are seeking a Solidworks Design Engineer to work from our offices in Chatteris, Cambridgeshire for an anticipated period of 6 — 8 weeks. The contract start date is expected to be mid — end November.
You will need to be highly proficient in the use of Solidworks, have a mechanical engineering design background and be comfortable in dealing with clients direct.
The Project
Our Client is a world leader in real-time x-ray systems for the global security and industrial inspection markets. The contract involves taking an existing piece of equipment and redesigning (alongside Client input) to increase the size of the item, thereby allowing larger scale items to be put through the xray process. The ultimate project requirement is for two machines to be developed of differing sizes.
You will be directly involved with our client during the redesign process (working within our offices) and upon final sign off you will be producing a manufacturing drawing pack.
You will need to be:
A confident and effective communicator
Capable of working independently
Highly proficient in the use of Solidworks
