Mechanical Design Engineer - 3 month contract.
We are looking for a strong Mechanical Design Engineer who has previous experience with special purpose machinery and tooling.

As a Mechanical Design Engineer you will be working within a team of 3 other Designers using Catia,  the Company is a proto-type machine house for the car manufacturing industry; designing one-off electrical machinery ie. braking system/ satelite navigation/ fuel gauges. This particular project is to design an instrument panel and a fuse box.

Whilst the items are all be-spoke, you will normally find that it is similar to something previously produced that you could potentially use as a template. There is a strong team ethic to "get it right" first time.

You will take the design idea from the salesman and design all of the jigs and fixtures in order to proto-type and manufacture.

This project is likely to run for three months, although there may be an opportunity for a permanent position for the right person.
